All Time Low Answer Fan Questions for Buzznet
On the heels of our interviews with Jack Barakat and Alex Gaskarth of All Time Low about Twitter trending and LARPing comes an interview dedicated entirely to your fan questions!
Rian Dawson and Alex sat down with Buzznet at House of Blues in Vegas to chat about which song of theirs they'd want on Glee, a stripper who had an 'incident' on their tour bus, Mila Kunis and how their current single is meant to be a satire of what's on the radio right now.
For all of you who are all VIDEO A.D.D., here's a transcription of the highlights:
Question: What's the weirdest thing that's ever happened backstage?
Alex: We had a stripper backstage at Warped Tour and she broke someone's tooth with a…sex item…
Rian: And then the person whose tooth was chipped physically pushed her and uh, there's a lawsuit pending somewhere.

Question: Do you dumb down your lyrics to cater to your younger audience?
Alex: No. I assume what she's referring to is the new single. In the case of that song, the song is a satire and the lyrics are “dumbed down” to fit the mold of what we were going for with that song, which is a catchy…
Rian: It's a parody!
Alex: Yeah, it's a parody of what you hear on the radio these days. But no, we don't cater our lyrics or music to the demographic, I think. We write what we like.
Question: Where's the weirdest place you have woken up after a night of partying?
Alex: A couple of years ago, we were partying in Connecticut at our friend's house and I blacked out at some point along the line. And then disappeared, I guess. No one could find me. This is when we were still touring in a van. The next morning, when the van was leaving to go to the next show, they found me passed out in the front yard.
Rian: Another one of Alex's is when we were playing in Allentown, Pennsylvania, I think. He woke up in the hotel lobby. The hotel employee was waking him up and he thought he was lost and he started crying and it was a whole thing.
Alex: It was weird…it was a bad one.

Question: If you could be any girl for a day, who would you be?
Rian: Mila Kunis.
Alex: I was just about to say Mila Kunis.

Question: If you could have any of your songs on Glee, which would it be and why?????? (Includes dramatic reading of question marks)
Alex: I feel like 'Poppin' might be good on Glee. It's very fabulous. It's a fabulous song. I can see it being based around something fabulous.
Rian: I was going to say 'No Idea' but it's not out yet. Cause usually they have the like slower songs…
Alex: So…they have No Idea what you're talking about!

'No Idea' is one of the tracks on Dirty Work, coming June 7th!
